Pastures surrounded by treelines and forest clearings provide excellent nesting areas for Hoopoes. I make a lot of efforts to increase the local population of Hoopoes by mounting hand hollowed natural nestboxes. Birds regularly perch on twigs we aline with the entrance of the nest box so you can not only take pictures of the birds resting in their the natural habitat but also interesting flightshots.

At these locations we are using simple constructions or double/triple hides.
